Hello Steve

Give thanks you for reaching out to u.s.. I'k so distressing yous are facing bug!
My name is Margarida, I'm an Independent Advisor.

That is a server sent message, so most probable the effect is with your email server provider and not with outlook.

I have washed some research and information technology seems that is a recurring consequence with Optus email business relationship. Is that your case? If so, I would recommend to accomplish out to their support.

Hi Margarida,

Cheers for your response - I capeesh the time you have taken to look into this effect.

I had read those links prior to posting my question withal they do not resolve the upshot.  I likewise contacted Optus support who advised information technology is non a server issue as it doesn't happen when using webmail or telephone... just when using Outlook.  The bulletin also only appears in Outlook - if information technology was sent by the server I would also run into information technology on phone/webmail.

Promise that additional information helps to narrow down the result.

Best regards,

Steve

Its not an OL generated msg per se, the msg is a response to the server (receiver) rejecting the postal service. Its an anti spam procedure from that server

Different things are in play in OL compared to web mail and telephone

PS

Optus support would be aware of the above, but are choosing to ignore information technology - its their anti-spam measures causeing the problem

Palcouk,

Thanks for that information.  What would Outlook be doing differently to the phone (I don't have problems with it)?  If I can narrow information technology downwards more possibly Optus support volition be more useful.

Many thank you,

Steve

Im using office 365 outlook

No problems at home over wifi.

Besides using e-mail on my phone, no issues

Its just when I hot spot from my phone ( Aldi ) to outlook on lap top I have the issue.

And then I don't think its optus, I did a chat with them and got nowhere.

I did endeavor in email settings SMTP to tick box outgoing uses same log in every bit incoming server.

This helped for a while but it is back.

Hope this helps

Hi Chris,

Thank you for your answer.  I was already using the same log in for the outgoing server but as you lot've constitute that isn't the total solution.  It turns out that in reality that bulletin should never be seen by an finish user and as that is odd in itself (also an internet search for that fault only returns queries from Optus customers).  I have had detailed discussions with senior Optus staff who have accustomed that information technology is an Optus issue... but no ane has yet been able to work out the cause of the issue.

My solution in the cease was to end using the Optus server to send emails.  I have reconfigured Outlook to send using the gmail server past logging in with my gmail account (as opposed to the incoming server login).  Gmail will allow this equally long as you lot make the option possible within your google account - it is a procedure just worth doing).

During my inquiry I found that the Optus electronic mail system does come up with errors more often than any other mail servers and the long term solution will be to stop using my optus email... which is frustrating as I have had it for xv years.  In the meantime my piece of work around have been faultless and I will continue to use it.

Hope that also helps y'all and anyone else who encounters this event.

Best regards,

Steve
